You’ll need:
1 pound ground pork
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 onion diced
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 egg beaten
2 1/2 cups marinara sauce
3 slices of white bread or wheat bread crumbled up into crumbs
In a bowl combine the beef, pork, onion, herbs and spices. Add the egg, garlic, wortschire sauce and bread, mix until well combined.
Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the meat and roll between your palms to create meat balls.
In a skillet on medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the meatballs (do not over crowed the pan) and cook until the bottom is browned, flip and brown the top. You will not cook these completely done, they will finish cooking in the sauce. Remove the meat balls from the pan. Cook the remaining meatballs the same way.
In a pot on medium heat, bring marinara sauce to a slight boil, add meatballs and stir. Cover the pot and cook on medium low for 15-20 minutes. Once the meatballs is done, add desired type of cooked pasta to the sauce, then serve.
