1 teaspoon sat
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried basil

2 cups cooking oil
icy cold water

1. Peal and cut the potatoes into your desire size for french fries.

2. Soak the potatoes in icy cold water for 1 hour, then drain and allow to drain for 5-10 minutes to make sure the potatoes are not soaking with water.

4. Shake the potatoes in the flour to coat them well.

5. In a skillet heat 2 cups cooking oil to about 330 degrees F.
